DIY Dog Bicycle Leash

Made 6-30-12

What You Need (All bought at ACE Hardware)

32" Heavy Duty Bungee Cord ($3.79)

12" Vinyl Coated Galvanized Cable ($0.85)

2 Bolt Snaps ($2.79 each)

1 Wire Rope Clip ($0.79)

Everything cost about $11!!! This is a good price compared to ones you can buy on Amazon. We made 2, so total cost for us was $22.

Now We Put It Together!

You'll need a Hammer, Channel Lock Pliers, and 1/4" Socket & Ratchet.

Place Galvanized Cable onto Bicycle with Wire Rope Clip using 1/4" Socket & Ratchet. We placed it under the seat.

Then place one Bolt Snap at each end of the Bungee Cord using the Channel Lock Pliers and Hammer. Make sure you have a sturdy surface when hammering.

Then attach one end of the Bungee Cord to the Galvanized Cable and the other end to anywhere on your bicycle (see first picture above) or your dog's collar when you want to exercise with your best friend! =)

Here is a short video we put together. Enjoy!
